All the sounds of Windows XP  are muted, and I want them muted.

But I can not  mute one beep sound which I hear for example when I click on the "Internet Explorer"  "Clear History"  buttom and a dialog box appear asking if I am sure to delete the history.

I tried "Settings"  "Control Panel"  "Sounds and Audio Devices" "Sounds"

Under "Sound Scheme" I chose "No Sound"

How can I mute that beep sound

You could always disable the sounds driver.

Right click My Computer->Manage->Device Manager->disable the sound drivers

Of course this is extreme, but if you really dont need sound....
