The error I recieve is: Installation can not continue can not find data1.cab. Please verify the file exists
Where did you get the package from?  I have run into cases where the package just was not intended for a network install.  This may be your case.
I got the package from my temp files when installing the newest download off apple.com.

Any suggestions?
I just did the same as you did, though I didnt get that data1.cab error, it still did not install the way it should.  In these cases, I have just dumped the actual msi on the network and ran it with "msiexec /i quicktime.msi /quiet" in a batch file just as it is from the clients.
How does "msiexec /i quicktime.msi /quiet" no where to look? Could you explain the batch file....?
