How to create a subdirectory in IIS but still apply Joomla's template

Evening all

We use Joomla 1.5 to keep our website up to date and have been very happy with it.

However, we now need to create http://domainname/vsn as a subdirectory and have the Joomla template that we use apply, so we get all the templates and formatting that we all know and lover

Question to the Experts - How can I do that ?

Cheers

Can you be more specific.
Are you trying to move the joomla directory to an other directory in IIS or in a subsite. If you only want to move the directory.

You can change $live_site, $log_path, $tmp_path, $ftp_root in configuration.php.
And a backup is always a smart thing to do before changing anything, i'm using: http://www.joomlapack.net/
Good luck

And in IIS you can create a new website below the Default Website.

Morning

Thanks for the answer

I have a Joomla website, and that's all funky :-)

What I am trying to do is apply the Joomla Template to a non Joomla website......maybe I'm not thinking correctly

I was going to give you the URL's by email, but I note your email address is not in your profile...I don't really want to post the URLs here until I've resolved this little issue of mine

I've got 56 files that are part of a microsite, provided by one of our vendors, and short of copying the html from each file and posting it as a new article (that will break the links etc), I wanted to find out a way of making the Joomla template fit this microsite

Does that make it any clearer (than mud) ?

Do you mean something like this:
http://www.tenmax.com/teleport/pro/home.htm
http://www.spadixbd.com/backstreet/
These tools will generate the website in basic HTML.

Sorry, but not quite....

What I wanted to do was to import some html pages in to articles in Joomla

It was getting too complicated so I created a new website as a microsite and linked to it from Joomla instead

Thanks for your help anyway
