Reset XP Taskbar Theme

I am trying to remove a taskbar theme from a Windows XP Installation. The computer is a special NASCAR edition with a customized theme that is black/orange. The theme does not play well with IE7 and I would really like to remove it and use the original XP theme. I have replaced the uxthemes.dll and this had no affect. I would appreciate any suggestions on resolving this. I am including a snapshot of the current theme.

Is there a reason you can't change it in display?

Right click desktop, go to themes, change to windows XP

I would presume that you have already tried the steps below to change it to the default theme:

    1. Right-click the desktop, and then click Properties to open Display Properties.
    2. On the Themes tab, click Browse in the Theme box.
    3. Locate the folder that has the theme file, and then double-click it.
    4. Click OK to load the new theme, and then close Display Properties.

If so you could try the following url which will help you restore your theme settings to the XP defaults:
