asp net running pages with masterpages

hello,

I'm receiving this error message when running my asp .net app in production server IIS,

BC30456: 'CreateResourceBasedLiteralControl' no es un miembro de 'ASP.masterpage2_master'.

I use masterpages and authentication mode="form"

while running within from VS 2008 there is no problem but when deployed.

Hi daquinoz,
There are quite some reasons to generate the errors as mentioned. You can check if these following solution helps:
1. Make sure you have centralized namespace for the entire solution. If you have make any amendments lately, try delete the old DLL files and rebuild the solution before deploy again.
2. Don't use ambiguous object declaration. You may use duplicate name for different classes or control in the solution.
3. Invalid use of "Public" or "Private" usage in the classes. Double check this issue.

thanks a lot,
the number 2 recomendation was the solution,

(2. Don't use ambiguous object declaration. You may use duplicate name for different classes or control in the solution.)

as I duplicated some aspx files and I didn't change the inherits and the name class in the copies ones it was causing the error.

Daniel
