Move the CRM database to a different server

I have the CRM Server installed on ServerA and the database on ServerB.
I bought a new server and need to move the database to ServerC.

How can I point the CRM Server to ServerC?
I will do a full restore of the DB on ServerB and I'll keep the CRM Server where it is now.

Also, any 'catch' you know of having the CRM database on SQL 2005 and Windows 2008 Server?

In the CRM config file there is a setting that points to Server B: change that to Server C.
If you are on the same network which logic would indicate this to be the case.

Yes, it is the same network.

Where can I find that file?
Could you give me the location & filename?
To point crm to the new sql server you would restore the database to the new server first, then on the crm server open the crm deployment manager.
Click on organizations then right click on your crm organisation and select disable,
Right click again and select modify organization / properties, from here you can point to the new sql server and / or report server.
Accept the changes then enable the organisation again.

FYI, I found the article that describes it in detail: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/952934
