I can't seem to find any reference to the adm file for internet explorer 8. I did find a reference on this site indicating that the adm file was included in the install for internet explorer 8, but I couldn't find it on my system.

Download IE8 source (IE8-WindowsXP-x86-ENU.exe) from following link. After downloading the exe file, right click on it and extract to a folder. You will find inetres.adm (2,707KB) file in extracted folder.

that's perfect! the only problem is that i'm getting an error when I try to add the adm file in the mmc. the error is as follows:

Error 64 Help String specified more than once the file cannot be loaded.

    any thoughts?

First you must remove the old inetres.adm template

Thanks Peter. If I remove the old template, will I lose the group policy settings that use that template, or will they resurrect themselves when I add the new template? Thanks
