Hello,
I have an Exchange 2007 environment that consists of a CCR Clustered mailbox server.  On the active node of the cluster I am seeing a lot of Event ID: 8082 in the application log.

Log Name:      Application
Source:        MSExchangeRepl
Date:          4/22/2009 10:41:58 AM
Event ID:      2082
Task Category: Service
Level:         Error
Keywords:      Classic
User:          N/A
Computer:      My.Hidden.Server.Name
Description:
The Microsoft Exchange Replication Service was unable to create a network share named X:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\SG6 for MyCluster\SG6. Please verify that a network share with this name does not already exist.

I am not sure where to begin troubleshooting this...  Also I am seeing errors  in the application log of the passive node as well.  Event ID 522:

Log Name:      Application
Source:        ESE
Date:          4/22/2009 10:44:01 AM
Event ID:      522
Task Category: General
Level:         Error
Keywords:      Classic
User:          N/A
Computer:      My.Hidden.Server.Name
Description:
Microsoft.Exchange.Cluster.ReplayService (5552) Log Verifier e05 37519041: An attempt to open the device name "\\activenode\bb54af19-ec21-4c6f-a166-97110c93e28b$" containing "\\activenode\bb54af19-ec21-4c6f-a166-97110c93e28b$\" failed with system error 5 (0x00000005): "Access is denied. ".  The operation will fail with error -1032 (0xfffffbf8).

This may or may not be related.  Can anyone give me some advice on troubleshooting these events?  I have been looking all over MS's site as a few others that have not been very helpful.

Thanks in advance

Hi,
Please give the following information
1. Op. System on which Exchange 2007 is installed
2. Service Pack and rollup applied on Exchange 2007 SP1
3. If it is below rollup 7, then apply Exchange 2007 rollup 7 post SP1

Exchange is 2007  SP1 with Rollup 6 installed on Windows server 2008 Enterprise x64.
Few but not many outstanding windows updates.  I will apply Rollup 7 and additional updates this evening.

Any further Advice/Questions?

Hi,
Check if this hotfix is applied on both CCR nodes which are running on Windows 2008
Incorrect status codes that are returned in failover clusters may cause operations to fail on a Windows Server 2008-based computer
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/955733
If not then apply this on both nodes

Exchange is working fine.  I am waiting to see if the next SP or rollup for 2008 will fix the issue.  I tried to get the hotfix in: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/955733   But when you go to download it, the only hotfix that displays is listed for Vista.  I called MS and their suggestion was to try it anyway.  Not something I feel comfortable with on a production mail server.  Chalking it up to annoying errors.

MILIKAD Thanks for your help.
