Folder on desktop which connects to an FTP/SFTP directory?

Is this possible?  I'd basically just like to have a folder on my desktop that I can double click and opens a folder that is on a remote server.   I then just want to drag/drop files to this folder and they're automatically uploaded.

I know you can do something like this built-in w/OS X but it's read only and FTP only I believe.

Anyone know of a solution for FTP/SFTP?

    There's also MacFusion -

    I'd recommend MacFuse or MacFusion for FREE
