Not sure what build version of SQL2008 you are on but you may want to install the Service Pack 1 that was released about 2 weeks (if you haven't already). We had a problem initially with the RTM version of SQL2008 where is was not processing our OLAP Cubes successfully and the only fix was to install (at that time) Cumulative Update 1 (CU1) for SQL2008. We are now in the process of upgrading our SQL2008 machines to Service Pack 1 which is a combination of CU1 thru CU3 plus 6 fixes from CU4.

I've loaded the SQL Server 2005 Backward Compatibility pack and the 2000 DTS Design Components, but I still get an error when trying to open a DTS package within SQL Server 2008 Management Studio. The error text is below.<br />
