Deactivating Blackberry server and moving SRP Info

Hi All,

We have a production Blackberry server running BES 4.0. We have installed a new server running BES that was running under a 60 day temp license.

I inherited these systems and am in no way a BB expert.

I tried moving the SRP ID and the authentication key to the new server but it wouldn't accept the authentication key.

We do not have BB support.

I believe the issue is that I have not de-activated the old 4.0 BES. How do I do that, and if I do should the old SRP and athent key work?

Hi, you must not use the same SRP ID on two servers at the same time, if you do you will lock out the BES.  What you need to do is stop and disable the old BES services and then apply the SRP ID, Auth Key and CALs to the 4.1 server.
