Cisco CallManager 6.1.3 Line Group CTI Problem

We have CallManager 6.1.3, and are configuring a few users to use a Windows-based TAPI application via the Cisco TSP.
It all works fine, except for directory numbers that are members of a Line Group. It appears that Line Group and CTI are mutually exclusive for a given DN. Once we remove the DN from the line group, we can associate the DN with the CTI device.
Any way to work around this restriction so that users can get the call routing functionality that we need from Line Groups, and still be able to get access to the CTI application functionality?
