New Send Connector for a subdomain: what do I put in SMTP address space?

If my domain is xyz.com, I want to allow certain users to send from info.xyz.com.  I'm setting up a new Send Connector for this subdomain, using the New SMTP Send Connector Wizard in Exchange 2007.  Currently, my only send connector includes an asterix (*) in the SMTP address space, and the checkbox "include all subdomains" is ticked.  Will this conflict with the new Send Connector I'm about to create, since my new connector is for a subdomain (info.xyz.com)?

Secondly, once I configure this new Send Connector, what changes do i need to make on the user level to allow certain users to send from info.xyz.com?

Thanks!
Bryan

The domain list in the Send Connector is for the domains the messages are being sent TO, nothing to do with where the message is coming from.

There is nothing to do in Exchange to allow users to send from another domain. However do note that it is not possible for users to choose which domain they send email from, the email is whatever the default address is on the account.

OK... so I need to either set up a new user or change the default address of a current user to address@info.xyz.com... how do i configure Exchange to allow me to do this?

I simply added an email address (address@info.xyz.com) to the user's profile and it works.

I believe my last question pertains again to the Send Connector setup: if I want all of the @info.xyz.com addresses to pass through a 3rd party (a new MX record), do i create a New Send Connector, with info.xyz.com in the SMTP address space, and adding the 3rd party server in the smart-host field?

You cannot route email based on the sender with Exchange, only on recipient. All the Send Connector does is look at the recipient and route the email accordingly.

You can't.
As I wrote above, Exchange does route email based on the sender, only on the recipient.
