Can not log into Windows Media Center Edition
When the computer starts, the system boots up tp the welcome screen with the 'Owner' icon. When you click the icon, the icon greys out and 'Loading your personal settings...' is displayed then the wallpaper is displayed. However, a split second after the wallpaper is displayed the system goes to the 'Logging off...' screen and goes back to the welsome screen. I tried booting into safe mode and had the same results with both the Owner Id and Administrator ID. I removed the drive from the PC and installed it as a slave drive in a second computer in an attempt to extract the documents and pictures that were stored on the machine. However, the 'Owner' folder has nothing in it but the ntuser file, the Administrator folder is accessible, BUT the 'Owner-PC12342' folder says it is not accessible. I believe that this is where the files, pictures, etc are located. I just really want to get to the files. Is this some type of virus or spyware? Are these files retrievable or are they lost?
