HTC Touch Pro - ActiveSync Error - Keeps asking for username and password
Hey,
I'm using SBS2003 with exchange.
I've currently got my HTC set up with the following:
Username: [me]
password: [correct password]
domain: [wicked-server.wickedwebsi tes.local]
[x] Save password
server: [static ip address]
however it wont sync, it just asks for my password again, and again...
I've tried the domain as:
wicked-server.wickedwebsit es.local
wicked-server.wickedwebsit es
wicked-server
wickedwebsites.local
wickedwebsites
but only wicked-server.wickedwebsit es.local and wicked-server.wickedwebsit es seems to try and connect, but the password fails...
any ideas?

if i remove the wicked-server bit then it just fails all the time, without even asking for the password etc..
also, how can i install an SSL on an SBS2003 box? I can buy one - the same as I would buy for a website but dont even know where to start to make the SSL secure?
I have set my DNS to show mail.MYDOMAIN.co.uk and vpn.MYDOMAIN.co.uk to the SBS2003 box, so I could just buy an SSL for vpn.MYDOMAIN.co.uk and that should work?
but I dont know how to install it - its from GoDaddy

Ah,
Brilliant!!! Thank you, Seems to be working :)
dumb question alert, if i now sit here and rebuild my contacts in outlook and then sync, will it overwrite the contacts on my phone?
There are 101 currently, but lots of duplicates! :(

It depends on which way you are sync'ing the device. in most case's the PC (or exchange in your case) wins... however it wont "delete" as such, more like merge as the contacts on the phone are not found...
It may be better to wipe the exchange account on the device and start a fresh sync as everything i would assume is stored on your exchange server (email/contacts/calendars)
