Finding a position substring in a string SQLite

I am trying to find find string in a string.

example:
substring(replace(replace(name,'from',' '),'New Resource', ''), POSITION(' ' ,name))

There is a POSITION() function supported by most SQL engines, but this is not in the standard SQLite code base.  To get this addressed, go to:
    http://sqlite.org/contrib
Apply the last element here (extension-functions.c).  This includes a function called "charindex" which is similar to (but not quite exactly the same as) the Position function.
