Hi Experts,

We are a small company, that has 2 developers, that work in different locations. We have a VB 6 project that I would like to put under Source Control using the old Microsoft Visual SourceSafe 6.0. I would like to setup a database on our website that would allow the developers to check in/out work over the web. I have created a local database and copied all the files upto the website via FTP but in Visual Source Safe, I can't see how I can open the 'web' database.

Does anyone know if Microsoft Visual SourceSafe 6.0 can do this? Any other cheap options? We do have Visual Studio 2005 if there is anything in that.
Thanks in advance.

    Accepted Solution

You have likely already found your solution, but just in case: offers SourceOffSite that claims to be a remote access solution for SourceSafe 6.0.  Visual SourceSafe 2005 also allows remote access over HTTP/HTTPS.
