DFS permissions on relicated folders

I've got 10 servers all hosting a folder called data. The DFS share is \\server\data and all folders are replicated and work flawlessly. However: I need to change the permissions on the data folders and Im not sure if I need to do it manually on each share on each server or can I change it on the DFS share and the permissions will replicate?
Many thanks for your help
