To install some skins, you must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group.
Is it only with one skins or any skins?
Use the run as administrator prior to unzipping the file.
not all skins will run under Vista as the theme dll is different from XP it's missing all together.
Some skins may require that you install a UX theme .dll so that you can use skins outside of windows
Some Fonts may not be compatible.
Or the file was corrupted when downloaded
check the firewall and AV is not preventing it to install
check with the site if it's suitable for Vista WMP 11and if other have had success installing it.
