exchange 2000

I recently joined a win2k server (member server) to the main AD running on win2k3 server. on the win2k server I executed forest & domain prep using the exchange cd then installed exchange.

For some reason when I look at the administrative group in exchange manager, it's empty.. what could have I missed?

I run this on the win2k member server:

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator.MYDOMDC1>set u
USERPROFILE=C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator.MYDOMDC1

    did exchange get installed and are the services running?  can you move mail through the server?  is everything else normal except that you can't connect to the server from the manager?
