(CRPE32.DLL) - PELogOnServer. Can't connect with Oracle 10g Client
I use the crpe32.dll in order to utilise Crystal Reports from my software.
I log on via the PELogOnServer function. I have been using this with Oracle 9i Server and Client for good while.
Recently I have set up a machine on Vista, which meant I had to install Oracle 10g client instead of 9i.
My connection to Crystal Reports no longer works. It just returns 0.
Anyone know if there is a known constraint with 10g client?? Is there any workaround?

yeah, there is the issue right there. They are two different set up all together. In my oracle folder I have ora92 and product (which contains 10.2.0). I am not sure if there is a work around. You are probably going to need to post a question in the Oracle area.

I dont really get you. Are you saying you have 9i client on a vista machine? How did you manage to do this?
Yes, I have both install. So install 9 first. Then install 10. The difference here is I am on XP and you are on Vista. Here is a screen shot.

Okay, I decided to run a test to see if it would work with 10g client to 10g server and it does.
So, the problem only lies in the different oracle versions. Probably nothing I can do about it.
Cheers.
