Whenever my sony laptop boots with windows vista  it always shows configuring updates stage 3 of 3

    I had the same problem, that is how I fixed it:

    I forgot to mention, I solved the problem after I followed  the steps in method 3 ...
    But better try it from method 1 and 2 first ...
