How to import Vista's Windows Email's .contact files, into the Address Book of Outlook Express ?

I have around 500 .contact files that Vista's Windows Mail program uses to store a contact's information. I want to import each of these .contact files into the Address Book of Outlook Express. How to do that ?

Hello bhavinjoshi,

Export contacts from Windows Mail as CSV file.
http://email.about.com/od/windowsmailtips/qt/et_export_csv.htm

Copy the CSV file to computer with Outlook Express.  Use the Import feature of OE to import CSV file into contacts.
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie6/using/howto/oe/importing.mspx

Hope this helps!

Well, the problem is, I no longer have access to the computer that has Windows Mail.
All that I have with me are the .contact files. And my computer now has Windows XP and Outlook Express; not Vista and Windows Mail.
Please suggest a solution

.contacts format is unique.  I suggest using a friend's computer with Windows Mail and import the contacts files into Windows Mail.  Export it as CSV file.

First of all export contacts from Windows mail into CSV format then execute following steps to import those contacts in Address list of Outlook Express:

1. Start Outlook Express.
2. Select File > Import > Other Address Book.
3. Select Text File (Comma Separated Value)
4. Click Import.
