Not very sure about the Express editions, but all the toolbars should behave similarly. Right-click it and select Dockable, then drag it to the left, that should do it. If docking symbols appear, drag it on top of the appropriate symbol (try again if you don't like it).<br />

Visual Basic Express 2008.. I followed your instructions but it didnt work. The toolbox menu item was still on top of form1. Please attached jpeg file.<br />

The Toolbox used to be at the left, and the solution explorer and properties in the right when I opened VBExpress. For some reason, the toolbox has disappeared and I can only get it back through the View menu item. However when I do that, instead of the toolbox being to the left of Form1, it sits on top of Form1. How can I get my default back?
