I have recently been infected with some sort of virus/worm that is causing small havoc with my PC.  Most programs run fine.  I have one program that is giving me some trouble.  However, the main problem is that when I attempt to sign-in to ebay or paypal, I am redirected to a phishing page asking for credit cards, ss#'s, pins for atm's,etc.  I have found several similar scenarios on the internet.  They mention trying malwarebytes which I love and have tried.  It found nothing.  I also tried drweb-cureit per suggestions I found searching and it also found nothing.  Here is my hijackthis log -   Any suggestions????

Your log file appears to be clean other than the above entries.
I would suggest that you boot into Safe Mode (Hit F8 at startup) and run your antimalware/antivirus scans. Safe Mode allows detection and remvoal at times where normal mode does not.
Honestly though if this were my system I'm not taking any chances and reinstalling the OS. I just wouldn't feel comofortable with something possibly lurking on my system (Root Kit, etc.) that went undetected and my bank account ended up drained.
If you go this route here's the information that you'll need.

    Assisted Solution

A lot of these programs now show up as rootkits and hidden drives, which HijackThis does not detect.

I have had good luck using ComboFix against these threats.

    another approach:

try using TCPVIEW to see any abnormal connections while surfing online, e.g. strange processes and unknown destinations.

    hope it helps,

Thanks for all of the suggestions.  I went with the hunch that it was a master boot record virus.  Booted into the XP Recovery Console and ran Fixmbr and then booted again to the RC and ran Fixboot.  Rebooted and all is well.
