Backup Exec Monthly Backup Scheduling

Using v11d ... I have set a monthly schedule to run on the last day of the month ... effective date is 04/01/2009 (I've tried setting the effective date to a couple of different days in April) ...

When submitted, the problem is that it schedules the first backup to run 05/31/09 ..

No matter what I try, it won't start 04/30/09 ...

Why?

Have you tried an effective date of 3/31/09

Yes ... no change ... still starts 5/31/09 .... 03/28/09 has the same result ... it really doesn't like 04/30/09 for some reason ...

When editing the schedule, are you setting the effective date (4/1/09) and then the 'Days of the Month" options only?
On the Days of the Month option, are selecting dates or just the 'last' option?
Silly question... Is the date/month correct on the backup server? and is the Time to run set to start prior to midnight?

I just tested a sample job and set the day of the month to the "last" option. The job scheduled for 4/30/09.

We may want to look at BE updates. Are they current?

Have you tried deleting the job and creating a new one?
Or, leave that job there and create another with just one file or something and schedule it the same way and see what it does.

Hmmm .... I checked the first job ... setting the parameters in the order you specified ... no change ....

When I look at the dates that it schedules for, 04/30/09 actually shows up with a green check mark, but after accepting it and carrying on, the monitor list doesn't show the 04/30/09 date ...

However, going with your 2nd suggestion., I copied the job and resubmitted and it does have 04/10/09 as the run date ... so I suppose I'll just go with that one and zap the first instance ...

Thanx ...
