Video player in flyout/ popup

I am simply looking for a script that will allow a video player in a popup/flyout.

I have googled and found tons of lightboxes that will play videos in them. However, all these grayout the screen and center the popup. I need one to show up just to the left of an image or link clicked (onClick not mouseover) kind of like a tooltip, and can load the content in via ajax.

I'm not sure if such a thing exists or not. If it doesn't I guess I can take one of the open source lightboxes and make it do this but I'd rather not.

For example, if you have an account with istock, go view their videoplayer. It shows up when you mouseover a thumbnail and starts playing. We want it to work like this but onClick. To close it we need it to be closable when when you click out side the popup or on a close button.

Any ideas? Thanks!

I'm using Ceebox a thickbox for video on my website http://www.bmwvideopost.com

Ceebox (jQuery): http://catcubed.com/2008/12/23/ceebox-a-thickboxvideobox-mashup/
And i'm using the following jQuery tooltip: http://jquery.bassistance.de/tooltip/demo/
You can enable $("#tooltip").click to open a tooltip onclick.
You can search for more jQuery plugins here: http://plugins.jquery.com/
Good luck.

Thank you, sorry I haven't replied.

Sorry, but I need it to play the video in the tooltip. But the tooltip, like you mentioned, must enable onclick and be in a location just left of the thumbnail and be draggable with no back overlaying grayout. I know thats a lot but I can work out all the styling, I just need a clickable tooltip that will play a video in it.

Loading that in a tooltip is pretty tricky because tooltips are coded for doing that. Thickboxes and Lightbox (swfobject is loaded in JS) do support that. Otherwise you have to code that yourself. But why not a Thickbox that is also just a div overlay and tooltips too.

Thank you. I won't be working on this since many other things have taken precedence. I would imagine that your idea would work and would provide a solution. Thanks again!
