too many archives are generating by oracle

i am getting one problem with my oracle database. we are seeing archives are generating high. it was  not happened in the past.

i have check backup and import operations. i have check the tablespace status.

i could not find the reason for it. could you please help me to find out the problem.

database is running on AIX 5. how do i find top OS processes on AIX?

Also you may want to install statspack (if you havent) and generate a report for the period of time these logs are being written, there you will find out which program/module and SQL is generating these logs.

i have generated statspack report. i will update the statspack reports soon
