automaically generate e-mail from sql 2008 on record insertion

I have an infopath 2007 form where when filled out by an indiviidual, the data is sent to a sql server 2008 database.  This form has a field for the person to enter an e-mail address of which an e-mail needs to be sent to a different person letting them know that the the data has been entered in the database.  i'm not sure how to set up sql to take this e-mail address when a new record is created and send an e-mail to the intended recipient. perhaps someone could be of assistance.

i am using exhange 2007 as my e-mail server.

you could put a trigger on the table and use database mail to send the email....here is an article I wrote for db mail:

for some reason i am getting a "no connection could be made because the target machine is actively refusing it" error when attempting to send mail.  the ip address with port 25 associated with the error message is that of my smtp server.  port 25 is open.
