If you install Full Text Index after applying any Service Packs, then you have to reinstall that Service Packs to make Full Text Indexes work:<br />

I have recently had to install full-text indexing on an existing SQL 2005 box (Workgroup Edition with SP2).<br />
<br />
The installation went fine, the service is running and the server has been rebooted. However, if i try to create a catalog i get the message &quot;Full-text indexing is not installed, or a required component cannot be loaded&quot;. The &quot;Use Full-Text Indexing&quot; option on the Files tab of the Database properties is also disabled.<br />

Any ideas what i'm missing and how I can get this working?
