MS Exchange 2007 Problem, Event ID4002

Hi

Major problem here out of no-where, everything was working fine at that start of the day and no changes were made.

Suddenly all version of Outlook (2003/2007) we use started asking for a username and password to connect to exchange 2007. I check OWA and this is working fine.

So after a restart i checked the event log and found it filling up with error 4002 (see bottom)

I have done a few hours of searching but can find literally nothing about from suggestion i should open a support call with MS, which i would like to avoid.

(if i restart the service is works normally for about 30 seconds, then this error starts appearing every minute)

Hi

I have run exbpa and for some reason my public folder database isn't being backup up and hasn't been done for 90days or so, could this cause the problem if the logs arn't being cleared?
please explain how that relates to my issue?
How much disk space is on the drive? This could be back pressure, where Exchange starts to shutdown when the disk space drops below a certain level.

If you haven't been backing up one of the databases correctly then you may well have used more disk space than you expected.

Simon.
