Repackaging with Wise - What to scrub in the install script

All,

I am new to repackaging and packaging. We are using the Wise Packaging Studio 7. I would like to know when scrubing the resulting package from the "Create Pacage" function of the software ... should I remove the "user specific" data from the install?

Below is a clip from the "xxx-Installation Sequence.txt" file. We are using Snagit 9 as the test package.

Please advise.

Remove all installer-specific data - everything under \Installer\.

Vadimrapp1,

I am testing this just now. I will keep you posted.

Vadimrapp1,

I think that may have helped. However, I am getting "you do not have access to make the required system modifications. Please rerun this installation from an administrators account." . I am an admin on the box (client) as well as an admin on the server. I tried running the installation on another machine and received the same error.

Any ideas?
Thank you,
Naerwen

If this is already during the installation, then produce detailed installation log and look there. Another way is to invoke security audit of object access, so any such failure will be in the security event log.

Vadimrapp1,
The problem is happening right at the end of the installation. However when I click ok it does prompt me to reboot.
Anyway, I am going to try the things you mentioned. I will get back as soon as I can.

Vadimrapp!,

Removing the installer lines seems to have done the trick for now. I will likely have more questions, though.
Thanks,

Good answer. Good discussion. The initial question was answered and I was able to create my first (production) package.
