How do I get into bios on a Dec Alpha 255.  I need to change the boot device sequence so I can boot from CD.

How do I get into bios on a Dec Alpha 255.  I need to change the boot device sequence so I can boot from CD.

It depends if you have AlphaBIOS or SRM firmware.
To install Linux or BSD you need to replace AlphaBIOS with SRM.
Also make sure you use low-speed CD-RW or CD-R recorded at slow speed for alpha CD-ROM to read it. Sometimes only factory CD-s will work.
