blackberry curve has two calendars in it when synced with outlook 2003 but i do not have two calanders in outlook please help

I have recently purchased a Blackberry Curve which I have since, synced with my outlook 2003 calendar.  My problem is that i only have one calendar in outlook that stores all of my dates, appointments, etc... now when i initially synced my Curve with my outlook 2003 it brought my one calendar from outlook 2003 and split it into two on my blackberry. Now i have either one instances of an appointment that shows up as two since i have two calendars, and on top of that each calendar on my Blackberry (one is called Desktop, the other is named after my email address i.e. myname@something.com) has split up some of my appointments so i can only view them from one calendar or the other.  Very Frustrating, please help!

Hi, are you using BIS or BES?

Assuming you are using the BlackBerry Individual Service (BIS) just connect your device and open BlackBerry Desktop Manager.  Then via the Backup and Restore menu select to perform a backup and select a location to save the file.  After the backup has completed still within the Backup and restore screen select Advanced, then in the right window select Calendar and All - Calendars and then press Clear at the bottom.  This will now erase all calendar items from the device.  Now resynchronize your but ensure you confirm any calendar changes that appear (i.e. you only want it to add X entries to the device)

Thank you for responding,
I am running BIS i believe.  I tried what you said and it still brought in two calendars.  i do have some screen shots and more information for you regarding  my issue i hope the following helps:

when installing i chose to sync and to "write from outlook to blackberry"

I was previously using the blackberry pearl which i assume never had the option to see multiple calendars since i did not have this issue when syncing to my old pearl

my screen shot shows my syncing window and the two calendars named "Calendar", and "Calendar - All" if the issue is needing to remove one of these prior to syncing can you tell me how to do that, or if you think i should just reset and start from scratch?

All you need to do is highlight Calendar and Calendar - All in the right window and then you can press Clear at the bottom of the right window.  After you have cleared the calendar perform synchronization as per normal.
that is what i just did. After that i then hit refresh and it shows them as both being empty (i.e. 0 entries in both)  i then loaded from my backup i had made and after ten minutes of syncing i am right back where i started

should i not have imported from the backup? is that why i am seeing the same thing as before? if so how do i reimport without a backup?

I guess my question is, is that "calendar" and "calendar-All" are always there, should they be? or is this the reason i have two calendars?
You should not import the backup after clearing the calendar.  Just clear the calendars and then exit backup and restore and perform a normal synchronization.
hat worked i now have two calendars still but all of the information from one has been imported into the other, which is what i want.  I now need to sync my home pc calendar with my blackberry as well is that as simple as just installing the software on my home pc connecting my blackberry and then setting the BIS to import from outlook to the blackberry and not do a sync or can i just simply press sync and it will bring all my appoitments from work and home together into one calendar?
