IE won't log in to Crystal Server USing FQDN - Cookies?

Git a weird issue here:

Just setup Crystal server, and in attempting to access the CMC ran into a weird issue.  When we try to log in w/ IE6 or IE7, the log in screen just refreshes (no error).  This only happens when we try to use the server name, including FQDN - if we use IP address or localhost, we can get in just fine.  Also, if I use Firefox, works just fine.  Tried from both the server and other PC's - no luck.  Wondering if this is an issue with IIS.  Anyway, any suggestions would be great.

Check IIS and make sure that Windows Authentication is disabled on the directory where the app is installed.

If FF is working and not IE then this makes me think this is related to the ID that the pages are trying to run under.  FF will not pass user credentials for Windows authentication and will default to Anonymous if it is available, other wise you would get prompted for credentials.  So if FF works then the code should work fine under anonymous ... IE will default to Windows authentication if it is available.

Turns out it was an issue with the server name, we had multiple underscores in the name.  When we added a simpler DNS record, the error cleared.   Not too sure why though...
