I have a current iPhone 3g model that I attach to a corporate network running Exchange 2003.
We have recently implemented some domain policy changes to force all users account password to expire as a follow up to a virus threat.  To my surprise, the iPhones, which have the old windows account password stored in its settings, continues to send and receive emails with no problem.  That seemed strange and I expected that on the next hard power down of the iPhone I would be forced to entire the new windows password.  That did not occur either and the phones continue to work with no problem.  Any idea on how the iphone is staying connected or if it will at some point require the newer password to be entered?

It will need the new password to be entered at some point. Normally when the session is established the next time.
