Active directory migration

Can I back up a SBS 2008 Active Directory and migrate it to a SBS 2003 environment? If so, any good comprehensive articles? I'm not a pro and need explicit instructions.

Same hardware, or separate hardware and an existing SBS2003 server?

Same hardware. Complete uninstall of sbs 2008 and reinstall of sbs 2003. Includes uninstall of exchange 2007 and reinstall of exchange 2003 and restoring a MOSS 2007 site. What I really care about are the passwords in AD because that's the authentication method for the sharepoint site and I don't want users to have to reset their passwords.

You could always use a password cracker (such as L0phtcrack) to crack the passwords and reset them yourself.

I don't think you can do this and keep AD intact.  You can dump the email to PST's, and when you rebuild the server import it.  You could also dump the users and use a dsadd script or csvde/ldifde to import them.
