How do I change point size in a ColdFusion .pdf footer?

I am trying to specify a footer for a multi-page .,pdf using ColdFusion, so that I have code as per the section below. It seems as though CF ignores all HTML tags to do with point size in the footer. I have tried <font size='x'>, <style='font-size:xpt'> and variations on these, but nothing works. Does anybody know it it's possible to control the point size in the footer?

If you're linking to an external style sheet, you need to include that link inside the header and footer tags as well.   If you're styles are embedded, then that is not an issue.

The PDF files will resize your footer in it doesn't fit well in the space provided.  Resizing means the footer may shrink thus making it appear your font is smaller when actually it was just scaled down to fit.

So you need to adjust the margin in your cfdocument tag to allow more footer space.  You can also create an absolute position div inside the footer with a fixed height and width to help control the size.
