Cisco Catalyst Express 500 IOS Update

I just got hold of a Cisco Catalyst Express 500.

The "dashboard monitoring" does not seem to show anything but temperature and the spinning fan.

I found a later version of the IOS on the Cisco Site:, and I was wondering if that would help

What problem are you trying to fix? Use Cisco Network Assistant and not the web interface of the switch.

Hi,

I wish to monitor the switch, like I do with my HP ones through the web interface - from anywhere, not just particular PC's..

I picked up the Cisco switch second hand - so don't have any Cisco  support agreements.

I just installed the Cisco Network Assistant, and while it connects to the switch it will only show me activity on individual ports.
The Switch Bandwidth graph does not update with values - even though the refresh timer rolls over.

Can anyone assist me in locating a copy of the fimware update?

The only place to get Cisco firmware legally is from Cisco.com and you have to have an active support agreement to get it.

Looks like there is no solution - it seems to be a known issue:
