How to use the SMPS power supply of PC without using the motherboard?

I have two SMPS power suppliy boxes with me. One I use with the computer and the other is idle but is working fine. Now since I have requirement of one more connection for extra hard drive, I want to use the idle one SMPS for the same instead of  buying a new enhanced one. Now since the motherboard has only one main socket which I am already using, How can I make the other SMPS active without inserting the SMPS pins into motherboard. Which are the wires which I need to short to make it Operative?
Yes I understand that it is recommended to use the new one to save my hard drive for proper shutting down, But I can use the existing one for DVD player etc.
Please help.
