Im looking at setting up an SBS 2008 preimum server with a second SQL server (that comes with sbs08 premium).

Can we use the second server (with SQL on it) as a terminal server?

How does the terminal server licensing work in this scenario? Do we just buy SBS2008 premium user CALs?

    Accepted Solution

No SBS CALs include Terminal Services Licensing.  You would need to purchase separate terminal services CALs.  But yes, the second server can be used as a terminal server if you want.  (You also don't HAVE to install SQL server, unless you need it).
