How can I quickly check if FullText Search is installed and enabled on SQL2008? How can I install it if it is missing? I remember I have checked FullText Search on the last install list.

    Accepted Solution

look under services (control panel - admin tasks) to see if the sql full text service is there and to see if it has started. If not in the list of services then it is not installed. From memory it is installed by default
