Hello!

I have a simple question. When you build a web service with .net (with for example wcf) it is wsdl 1.1. My question is: Can .net communicate with a web service that is built upon wsdl 2.0 and on another platform (for example java)?

Yes you can, as this is one of the major aspects of web-services.

I do recall though, that .Net uses some special encoding features. I encountered these when having a look at the Soap adapter in adobe Flex. Here there were some lines of code commented with stuff like "Check if it's a .Net webservice" but in general, when using a Webservice defined by a WSDL document you should be safe.
