When I put Imports Progress.Open4gl.DynamicAPI  in the first line I get the error

Namespace or type specified in the Imports 'progress.open4gl.dynamicapi' doesn't contain any public member or cannot be found.

I presume there is something I need to download - but can anyone tell me where to get it and point to any documentation on the subject?

I assume that you have Progress installed. If you open the References dialog, you should be able to browse to the Progress.Open4Gl library (maybe the name is different, but it should start with Progress). If you don't see it there (if it is supposed to be a .NET library you should find it under the Assembly tab) you may need to install some additional libraries from Progress first.
