Hello friends
We have a cisco 1841 doing DHCP and vlan trunking with 4 different vlans with a cisco 2960 switch.
Computers can ping each other, can join the server (win 2008) etc. The only problem is when i browse the network places from each pc i can only view the computers within the particular vlan range i have specified. I cannot see computers and server which belong to a different vlan subnet.
All the computers have as a DNS server the win2008 DC. All the computers have access to each other via \\computername

I would like some hints please

    Hey George,

You need a WINS server and you need to know where your Master Browsers are.

For Windows 2008 WINS installs from "Features". You also need to make sure NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled everywhere and allowed in the Windows Firewalls (especially on 2008).
