    Accepted Solution

SSRS 2008 is backwards compatible with a SQL2005 database
SSRS 2008 could be used with somebody running 2005 DBs, or even 2000 DBs.

Make sure, if you are using a Development edition of SQL 2005, that you upgrade SQL to a Standard or Enterprise edition first before installing SSRS 2008 or it will not link with SQL.
