Hi,

1) This is related to the CCNA exam.
2) The IOS commands are as follows:
Router(config)#interface fa0/0
Router(config-if)#ip address 209.165.202.150 255.255.255.224
Router(config-if)#no shutdown
3) My question: What about if i put "no shutdown" prior to "ip address ........ .224"; Will the RESULT be different or STILL the same?                                                                                                                            so the ios commands will be:
Router(config)#interface fa0/0
Router(config-if)#no shutdown
Router(config-if)#ip address 209.165.202.150 255.255.255.224
4) Thank you

Tjie

The result will be the same.  The second example simple brings up the interface before applying an IP address to it.  The outcome is the same however.
