asked on

cant work out the gradients for different colors for the following (photoshop)

I found the gradients in the sample file (psd) on the adobe website and want to use different colored ones -

What I need is -
Purple
Yellow
Orange
White
pink

But I cant work out what the colors should be. Are there any Experts kind enough to work out what the matching color gradients should be and place them in a zip file.

I know I ask a lot, therefore would be more than prepared to leave this question as asking for the PURPLE, then ask 4 separate questions and therefore award more points, which i believe to be fair even in the eyes of EE.

(oh, i tried to zip a psd but EE would not have it, and i need them in psd layers, so im not sure what to do, or how you could send them back to me) pls advise.

I'm not to sure what you are trying to get at, but I am more then happy enough to work with you. Do you want to make separate gradients with the colors you have given, to produce the results similar to the image you have provided?

ASKER

Yes I want the

Purple
Yellow
Orange
White
pink

equivalents of the colors I have shown above.

You can download the actual psd's by going to this link

Oh, alright now I can make them, but did you want to learn how to make them, etc. Or I can just e-mail you the specified ones you asked for, or post them back here. I can try to send you them by email, if you are willing to and assuming they aren't to big, but if not ill make a link with a media fire link.

Thank you so much fezzly, As for your thinking of Would I like to know how it is done, yes i would. I mean i couild see the gradients of the ones i already had and make my own blue and black, although maybe these are not quite right, was there a formula you used, or was it just guess work from someone with (much) better color skills than me.

If you have the time (although you have done more than enough) have a look at my blue, red

Once again I would like to thank you so much for preparing those gradients for me.
Unfortunately, there is no formula, at least when I did it, you just have to choose shades that are close together, and the bottom half has to be darker in your case for the gradients. The one's that you did are a great start.

Now for example on your blue one, instead of making the blue on the bottom the same shade as it is on the top, make it more of a bluish blackish quite similar to the middle color but a bit lighter or darker, your preference.
