Dynazip components

Hi,

I am working on a project in Delphi 5.0 which uses dynazip activeX components. I install the activeX controls,  the version details of the activeX files are as follows

File Description:  DynaZIP Status OLE Control
File Version        1.0.0.6
Product Name     DUZOCX1
Product Version  1.0.005
Date Modified  :   12/12/2001

File Description:  DynaZIP UnZIP OLE Control
File Version        1.0.0.6
Product Name     DUZOCX1
Product Version  1.0.006.
Date Modified  :   12/12/2001

When I compile get the error

File not found: 'DZSTACTXLib_TLB.dcu'
File not found: DUZACTXLib_TLB.dcu'

Is any one came accross this issue? Or anyone has insight of this issue please share your knowledge. You know help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,
Ktuser

Have you imported the Type Libraires? You do that from the Project-.Import Type Library...  menu.
Select the DynaZIP control from the dialog. You need to do this for each of them.
This is what creates the xxx_TLB.pas files. They will be placed in the Imports directory.

Hi Eddie,

thanks for your response. I did imported the ActiveX Libriaries. I could file the following file but the files I mensioned above

DstatocxLib_TLB.*
Duzocx1Lib.*
DZocx1Lib.*

could not find
DZSTACTXLib_TLB.*
DUZACTXLib_TLB.*

Please let me know any suggestions.

Regards,
Mohammed.

Is there any way you can modify to use Abbrevia or another Zip control? Why are they using an ActiveX of DynaZip, anyway?

Could it be that you have a different version installed?

Yes, there was a different version. When we spoke to the original developer he mansioned that the component I am using are old one. I have to ask the client to provide me the correct one. After a lot of search we were success full to get the correct version of software.
Thanks a lot Eddie for your help.
