application error exception (EAccessViolation) in module ntdll.dll at 0001AA21: Access violation at address 7C91AA21 in module 'ntdll.dll'. Read of address 001f5c30.  I get this error when i try to print to a dell laser 1720 from my home pc using win xp pro sp3.

Sounds like it might be a faulty device driver. Have you checked dell.com for the latest device drivers for your printer for XP?

I would start with memory check with memtest86+ http://www.memtest.org/.
Then does a virus scan. After both are clean

I would uninstall the printer drivers and download the latest one from Dell.
